Summer Essentials.

Summer is here, hairs getting lighter, skins getting darker and most people seem to be happier. Now, don’t get me wrong I am most definitely a winter baby, but summer does have a little piece of my heart. Recently I have really been struggling to dress for the weather.

Living in the UK, essentially means you never know what the next cloud is going to bring. Summer essentials can range from a summer midi dress to wellies and a ‘pac a mac’. Whatever the weather, there is something beautiful about summer in the UK.

With changes in weather, so do basic wardrobe staples. Gone with the roll neck cardigans and in with the soft, loose fitted cami’s. Come rain or shine, Summer is here and it's time to crack out our Summer Essentials.

Camis.

This stunning abstract cami, is £14.99 from New Look.

 

Cami’s are such a soft and beautiful take on a vest. Loose fitting materials, mean an effortlessly styled top will never be off trend. Cami’s are everywhere in summer, in fact you’d be pushed to walk into a store and not see one(in many, colours).

Sandals.

These beauties are from River Island, £45.

 

Sandals are such a Summer wardrobe essential.  Heeled or flats, buckled or tied- sandals are a must. Opting for ‘safe’ colour will always ensure that sandals can be worn season after season. Although, don’t we all need a little colour in our lives?

Denim – EVERYWHERE.

How stunning are these limited edition shorts from River Island, £35.

 

Jeans, skirts or dresses- denim is everywhere when it comes to summer. A simple to style, comfortable staple of any one’s wardrobe. Seriously, can you imagine a world without Denim?

Floral Dresses.

Obvious, right ? Floral dresses are the heart of any summer wardrobe. Being such an easy piece to work with. From day to night or (if you’re lucky enough) night to day, a floral dress will never let you down. Just cross your fingers and pray that it's not windy.

Statement Clutch.

Clutches definitely come into their own in summer. Holidays, weddings evenings out (basically any occasion)  you’d find it difficult to find a person without a clutch. Whether bright and bold or basic yet sophisticated, this is the time of year for a clutch.
